Mr. Ahmad assumed the additional responsibilities of Vice President – Apparel Division in September 2008. In July 2008 Mr. Ahmad became an executive officer of the Company with his appointment to the Chief Technology Officer position. Prior to his promotion, Mr. Ahmad served as Vice President of Corporate Information Technology since 2007. He was the Vice President of IT for Alstyle Apparel (Ennis’ Apparel Segment) since 2001 and assumed the additional role of Vice President of Operations at Alstyle in 2005 until moving to corporate in 2007. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Ahmad worked with GoInvest.com as senior database engineer to design and support development of their online trading system and financial search engine. He also served as head of the software development team for Soft Integrated Systems in Pakistan, during which time he was engaged in an ERP development project in the U.S. He has an undergraduate degree in Physics and Math and a Master’s of Computer Science.
